WELL Health Medical & Longevity Centre Partners with UBC Athletics as Official Medical Imaging Provider
WELL Health Medical & Longevity Centre is pleased to announce that UBC Athletics has selected WELL as the Official Medical Imaging Provider for University of British Columbia athletes.
The partnership between WELL Health Medical & Longevity Centre and UBC Athletics sets a new standard in healthcare for student athletes. As the Official Medical Imaging Provider, WELL Health Medical & Longevity Centre now supports the care and development of UBC’s athletes as they strive to embody excellence in sport. UBC Varsity student athletes will receive leading-edge MRI diagnostic imaging designed to enhance the overall health and performance of the athletes.
“We’re honoured to support the health of athletes in the UBC Athletics department,” says Vince Danielsen, Senior Director of Preventative Health at WELL Health. “These athletes are the future of sport. We feel privileged to be able to provide diagnostic imaging and healthcare, helping ensure these young athletes have long, successful careers.” Danielsen knows firsthand the importance of timely and skilled health care for athletes. He played football for the Thunderbirds from 1989-1993 and in the CFL for the Calgary Stampeders.
UBC Athletics supports 26 teams and 720 athletes with a longstanding tradition of inspiring excellence, championing health and sport, and building community.
