3.0 Total Body Scan

Our 3.0 Total Body Scan is the only full body scan in the Canadian market that utilizes both MRI & CT technology. This unique scan supports the detection of early-stage abnormalities, when they are most amenable to treatment

  • Our total body MRI begins with a brain scan. FLAIR sequences enable our radiologists to rule out Multiple Sclerosis and other dangerous diseases. We then perform a contrast-free scan of the circle of Willis, checking for brain aneurysms, and finally, SWI imaging reveals potential microbleeds from past concussions.

  • We then conduct a neck scan, visualizing areas the thyroid and salivary glands.

  • A complete scan of the spine helps rule out early degenerative changes in the vertebrae and vertebral joints, as well as any spinal cord lesions.

  • We then visualize all abdominal organs, using techniques to reduce artifacts from breathing and peristalsis for clearer images. This includes the liver, pancreas, spleen and kidneys. The scan helps rule out fatty liver disease, an increasingly common in the Canadian population.

  • We conduct a pelvic scan, visualizing the prostate in males and the uterus and ovaries in females.

  • Our scan includes diffusion weighted imaging in the brain, abdomen, and pelvis, enhancing diagnostic accuracy by visualizing water diffusion in the body.

  • Our low dose lung CT scan aids in the identification of potential lung irregularities such as infections, fibrosis, pulmonary embolism, COPD and our scan facilitates detection of early-stage lung cancer.

  • Our low dose CT scan of the heart accurately identifies the presence of soft plaque, and we can offer a precise assessment of your current heart disease risk. The scan provides a CT coronary calcium score and enables early intervention and timely preventative measures reducing the likelihood of life-threatening events.

  • The average time in the MRI & CT scanners is 120 minutes, with built-in breaks. A comprehensive report is produced within 5 days of the scan.
